For each photowalk, someone from the community volunteers to design a poster. We then use it to promote the walk on Instagram (for example), with a credit to the designer. We also display all previous posters on our Archive page – you might use these for inspiration.
If you want to design one of our posters, here are some general guidelines to help you out. Thank you for contributing!
Design Guidelines
Required Text
- Exact meetup location / landmark (e.g. Kimlau Square, Battery Maritime Building, Athens Square)
- Meetup date
- Meetup time (2 or 3:00 PM)
Suggested Text
- “Community Photowalk”
- Website (photostroll.nyc)
- Instagram handle (@nycphotostroll)
- Neighborhood / general destination where walk is happening (e.g. Tribeca, Governors Island, Astoria)
Dimensions
Either will work:
- Portrait: 1080 x 1350px
- Square: 1080 x 1080px

Submitting
Please send the finished poster by Wednesday before the photowalk, at the latest.
